The American Lung Association today released its annual State of the Air report, and has named the air we breathe in Brownsville, Texas third cleanest in the United States. Brownsville has been named third in the top five for the cleanest U.S. cities for ozone air pollution. Ames-Boone, Iowa came in first place, Bellingham, Washington in second and Colorado Springs, Colorado in fourth place and Duluth, Minnesota coming in fifth.

The American Lung Association also lists the US cities with the cleanest air. Santa Fe, New Mexico, received the best score on particle pollution, followed by Honolulu, Hawaii; Cheyenne, Wyoming; Great Falls, Montana; and Farmington, New Mexico.
