women's female's golfing team Come enjoy winter golf with weekly best ball tournaments at Rio RV Park and our sister park Paul’s. Practice on Rio’s own property 300 yard free Driving Range. Enjoy your fellow neighbor golfers at your leisure on any one of seven nearby courses. Top this off each month with a best ball meet in Matamoros, Mexico for a day of golf finished off with tasty Mexican hors d’oeuvres, Margaritas, and beer. Up to 80 at one time have enjoyed the Mexico golf experience.

The weekly Rio RV Park Golf Activity varies depending on the number and wishes of the golfers. Usually the men play separate from the women. However, mixed golf is a special treat several times a season. A small fee is accumulated during the winter season and distributed to the winners at a Finale Awards Party in March. The draw is based on an individual’s average with weekly points accumulating toward the final prize.
The Monthly Rio RV Park golf Mexico is at the El Saucito Golf & Tennis. The day starts about 8AM leaving for a Shopping Center Soriana to meet transportation to the course. Some drive on their own. Start with coffee and donuts. Ride all 18 holes after warming up with a free bucket of balls and on the putting practice green. Then the 19th hole offers two margaritas or beers with a delicious bowl of bean soup and two nachos. See their brochure at Golfing and Golf Courses Page  . This is all yours for $28.00.
Double your Golfing fun by participating in a similar program with the Paul's RV Park golfers. Times are set to make it work most months from November through March.
You will find golf in Brownsville is not crowded or costly. The six area courses have not been crowded even at peak winter season. Cost of golf is surprisingly low. Even lower prices are for those playing the later rounds. Golf information and links are provided below for six courses within a thirty-minute drive from Rio. Plus information on a Matamoros, Mexico course where we go as a park during the season is available. A few are going to Matamoros on their own and even driving. Mexican auto insurance on a daily or longer basis is inexpensive.
