| Brownsville is the place to enjoy biking all year. The winter is almost perfect everyday while the summer temperature peaks about mid afternoon at 95 normally. This leaves the mornings and evening great for biking. Flat open spaces with roads to match having shoulders in both the city and country offers many opportunities for a pleasent bike ride not far away. Country roads with shoulder and city street with marked biking paths are available. | Golfing and Golf Courses | ||||
| Brownsville offers the RVer a choice of courses not matched by many another locations in Texas. Five courses are within 25 minutes of Rio RV Park. Rio also offers a place for you to work on your shots with distance markers of up to 300 yards. We have maps to help you to locate a favorite course of your own. Two courses are city. Three more private courses are within twenty-five minutes. Many golfers from other towns prefer the Brownsville courses due to their quality, cost, and lower waiting times. The course range from par 70 to par 72. The cost of golfing in Brownsville is very reasonable. Some courses offer Rio RV Park golfers up to a 20% discount.
